DEC Tsunami relief
CARE is providing tsunami-affected communities with water and sanitation, building houses, enabling people to earn a living by running cash-for-work projects and giving farmers seeds and tools so they can start planting crops. On the island of Simeulue, which was further devastated by a second earthquake on the 28th of March, CARE is building 3,000 permanent homes.
